Due to the Covid-19 safety measures,
the amount of participants that can join a guided ‘work-in-progress’
tour during the festival week has been limited to ten people at a time.
In the calendar below, you can see how many spots are available at a
given time. Click on the desired day and time, and you can make your
free reservation straight away.
PLEASE NOTE: this year the tours are PER BIKE, as the
distances between the murals are much longer than during past editions!
Please remember to bring your own bike during the tour. We do not have
WHAT DOES A GUIDED TOUR COST? The tours are done for a ‘pay-what-you-want’
price. Making a reservation is free, and at the start of the tour we
will ask you to pay a contribution through PIN based on whatever amount
you can miss, and what you believe is fair compensation. You get to pick
the amount, which can range from zero euros to the content of Scrooge McDuck’s vault. It’s entirely up to you, and we won’t ask you any annoying questions about it afterwards.
(Scroll through the reservation form as soon as you’ve clicked an available date)
WHAT IF EVERYTHING IS BOOKED UP? No guide
available at the desired time? Don’t worry! The walking tour (and
several other street art tours through Rotterdam) can also be taken with
the help of the Rewriters app for iOS and Android, the free (!)POW! WOW! Rotterdam Passport guiding booklet, or by printing the map yourself (link coming soon).
Besides that, the POW! WOW! Rotterdam Passport is available for free (!)
at all our partner locations (recognizable through the ‘OFFICIAL
PARTNER’ sticker on their window or door) in the Afrikaanderwijk and
Feijenoord neighborhood. This handy guiding booklet fits into your
pocket and contains a map with all of this year’s mural paintings, along
with background information about its creators.
On Sunday September 12, we will also have the POW! WOW! Rotterdam Passport guiding
booklet available for free at the Afrikaanderpark. That means you can
take a tour along all the artworks whenever you want, with whoever you
want, at whatever time works best for you. Have fun!
Johan Karlgren, also known as Pappas Pärlor, is a Swedish artist who creates interactive street art that makes his surroundings a lot more fun. Johan’s works are inspired by his passion – old video games, and that’s why all his characters that invade the streets are pixelated.
Pappas Pärlor’s pixel art can be usually found on our everyday objects, such as traffic signs, pipes, sculptures, fences and hundreds more. They are wisely incorporated into the functions of those objects which gives them new meanings while mixed with art. Scroll down on his IG page to see them for yourself!
From 5 – 12 september, visitors of the Feijenoord district can hunt for these beautiful additions to the streets!

Even more education
Rewriters010 organizes several workshops with various street art professionals. Customizing clothing and tote bags, a unique ‘urban ministeck’ experience, or working with spray paint and a brush to create a unique mural?
Workshops can be linked to one of the tours in the districts of Rotterdam, an exhibition or specifically tailored to your needs. The program can take place at school or at a location in the city. Workshops are available from 1 hour to a full day program with various disciplines of street art or hip hop.
